CMSI Playbook Mobile - Privacy Policy

Creative Mobile Solutions Inc. (“CMSI,” “we,” “us”) provides CMSI Playbook Mobile (the “App”), a professional media upload application for authorized users of the CMSI Playbook media asset management platform (“CMSI Playbook”). This policy describes what information the App handles and how we use it.

Who this app is for

The App is a business tool. You use it with an account provisioned by CMSI or by the organization that operates your CMSI Playbook system (your “Organization”). It is not a consumer social or advertising product.

Information we collect

Account information. Your username or email address, used to authenticate you against your Organization’s directory service. Your password is verified by your Organization’s authentication system and is never stored by the App. Multi-factor authentication uses time-based one-time codes generated by your authenticator app; codes are used once for verification and are not stored. After sign-in, the App stores a session token securely in the Apple Keychain so you can remain signed in; signing out removes it.

Media you choose to upload. The App accesses only the photos, videos, and files you explicitly select (or the removable-media folders you explicitly grant access to). Selected media is transmitted to your Organization’s CMSI Playbook system, where it is stored and managed under your Organization’s policies. The App does not scan, collect, or transmit any media you have not selected.

Transfer and audit records. To operate and secure the service, the CMSI Playbook system records metadata about uploads: file names, sizes, content checksums, timestamps, transfer status, the network (IP) address and device identifiers of the connection, and your account identity. These records support delivery confirmation, duplicate detection, troubleshooting, and your Organization’s audit requirements.

Diagnostics. The App may generate technical logs (errors, performance events) to diagnose problems. Diagnostics do not include the content of your media.

What we do NOT collect

  • No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, and no sale of personal information.
  • No tracking of your activity across other companies’ apps or websites.
  • No location data, contacts, microphone, or camera access.
  • No access to photos, videos, or files beyond those you explicitly select.

How information is used

We and your Organization use the information above solely to: authenticate you; transfer and deliver the media you submit; show you the status and history of your uploads; secure the service (including fraud and abuse prevention); comply with legal obligations; and provide support.

Sharing

Uploaded media and transfer records are shared with your Organization, which controls the CMSI Playbook system you upload to. We may use infrastructure service providers (e.g., hosting, storage) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information and have not sold it in the preceding 12 months.

Retention

Uploaded media and transfer records are retained according to your Organization’s policies. Device-local data (sign-in state, upload history cache) remains on your device until you sign out or delete the App.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are never stored by the App; session tokens are stored in the Apple Keychain. Access to the CMSI Playbook system is controlled by per-user authentication, time-based multi-factor authentication, and role-based permissions.

Your choices and rights

You may sign out at any time, which removes the stored session token from the device. Requests to access, correct, or delete personal information held in a CMSI Playbook system should be directed to your Organization’s administrator, or to us at the contact below. California residents may exercise applicable rights under the CCPA by contacting us; we do not sell personal information, so no opt-out is required.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will post any material changes to this policy at this URL and update the effective date above.
