CMSI Returns for Another Season Supporting FOX Sports’ NTT INDYCAR SERIES Coverage

Last year, CMSI made history.

Well, technically, FOX Sports made history by broadcasting the Indianapolis 500 for the first time. This marked a major shift in motorsports television after decades of the race airing on other networks. That milestone was part of FOX’s first season as the home of the full NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule, and CMSI was there from the start to help support the transition.

Throughout the 2025 season, CMSI provided the technical expertise and file-based workflows needed to help FOX Sports and IMS Productions manage the fast pace and complexity of INDYCAR coverage. During the opening race and throughout the rest of the season, CMSI supported the movement, management, and archival process of behind-the-scenes media. This helped ensure broadcasts, highlights, and postproduction workflows ran smoothly.

The success of the 2025 season laid the groundwork for CMSI’s return in 2026, as FOX continues building its approach to INDYCAR coverage with trusted technical partners already in place.

From NASCAR to INDYCAR: CMSI’s Motorsports Expertise

CMSI was selected for its impressive experience in motorsports production. The team has supported FOX’s NASCAR broadcasts for years, where they developed the ability to manage the demanding pace and technical complexity of live racing. That experience translated naturally to INDYCAR, where CMSI supports workflows built to handle large volumes of file-based content and rapid-turnaround postproduction.

In recent years, CMSI has also helped broadcasters introduce HDR into file-based workflows, a technically demanding process in live sports where multiple vendors, systems, and formats must work together. Drawing on experience with FOX Sports, the Olympics, and broadcasters such as NBC, CMSI helps production teams deliver high-quality images and dependable workflows in complex live environments.

Building on a Strong First Year

For CMSI, the 2025 INDYCAR season was more than a new assignment or a chance to be featured in a college textbook (because history was made, remember?). It was an opportunity to help support a major transition in sports broadcasting and contribute to FOX’s first year covering one of racing’s most iconic series.

Now, with CMSI returning for the 2026 season, that work continues. Building on the success of last year’s launch, CMSI remains part of the technical foundation supporting FOX Sports’ INDYCAR coverage.
