CMSI Returns to the GRAMMYS for 2026

On Sunday, February 1, CMSI was on site at the GRAMMY Awards supporting live red carpet coverage for The Recording Academy, marking another year of collaboration since 2019.

The GRAMMYS remain one of the most technically complex live entertainment events of the year, drawing massive global audiences across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. While the awards ceremony takes center stage, the red carpet is where the night begins. Through custom file-based workflows, CMSI helps deliver real-time interviews, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments to fans around the world.

Supporting Live Red Carpet Coverage

CMSI’s role at the 2026 GRAMMYS focused on supporting live red carpet broadcasts, helping ensure media was captured, managed, and delivered quickly and reliably. Throughout the day, CMSI supported several simultaneous streams of broadcast video, running for 10 to 11 hours, along with additional supporting workflows required to keep coverage moving from start to finish.

CMSI also provided operators with the ability to create and access simple clips on demand, allowing content to be quickly repurposed for social media, streaming platforms, and digital distribution. The red carpet content appeared on GRAMMY.com and across live streaming platforms, giving fans multiple ways to engage with the event as it unfolds.

Working directly with the Recording Academy, CMSI supported the technical workflows that allowed red carpet content to move seamlessly from capture to distribution, even under the tight timelines and high visibility that come with a live global event.
