CMSI Joins FOX Sports for the 2026 Veterans Day Weekend Broadcast

FOX Sports doesn’t play about Veterans Day. Or… they do, but that’s more of a literal ‘play’. FOX takes honoring veterans and their families very seriously, which might be why they’ve expanded this year’s Veterans Day broadcast to a full two-day affair.

On November 7–8, FOX Sports will honor America's servicemembers and veterans with a special two-day broadcast event from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. CMSI will be onsite providing RPOC services, edit systems, and media management to support FOX Sports throughout the weekend.

Two Days Are Better Than One

Unlike the one-day events that were previously broadcast from Colorado Springs (2023), San Diego (2024), and Los Angeles (2025), FOX made the decision to expand the Veterans Day weekend production to a two-day event.

In 2026, the weekend begins Saturday, November 7, when BIG NOON KICKOFF broadcasts live from West Point ahead of the Army–Air Force football game. On Sunday, November 8, FOX NFL SUNDAY continues the celebration with a special broadcast originating from both West Point and the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Throughout the weekend, FOX Sports will feature stories, tributes, and special moments recognizing the men and women who have served or currently serve in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Production Behind the Tribute

CMSI will be providing RPOC (Remote Point of Capture) services, edit systems, and media management throughout the event. Unlike a traditional studio environment, remote productions require equipment, infrastructure, and workflows that can support production teams working away from their usual facilities.

CMSI's RPOC workflows help move media efficiently between production resources, while our edit systems give production teams the tools they need to prepare content for broadcast. Our media management services help keep footage organized, accessible, and ready for the people who need it. Together, these services support the behind-the-scenes work that makes a major live production possible, allowing editors, producers, and other members of the broadcast team to focus on the stories they're telling.

Family, Football, Fun, and File Transfers

CMSI is used to (and incredibly grateful for) being high on the call list for major NFL productions. But this weekend is about much more than football, and not just because of the location or the occasion.

FOX's Veterans Day broadcasts have become meaningful celebrations of patriotism, service, and family togetherness. While the spotlight is rightfully on the men and women who serve and have previously served our country, these events also recognize the military families who stand behind them. Their strength, resilience, and sacrifices are an essential part of the story, and they deserve to be celebrated, too.

For CMSI, it's a privilege to play even a small role in an event that means so much to the servicemembers, veterans, and families who have given so much for our country. And honestly, the rampant availability of cotton candy machines does come to mind when we’re approached for this annual opportunity.
